Hopi Ear Candling or Thermal Ear Candling Ear candling

This soothing, non abrasive treatment involves placing a hollow tube or cotton candle into the ear. The candle, which is made from cotton and soaked in beeswax, honey and herbs, is lit and the light air-suction of the chimney-effect combines with the movement of the flame to produce a relaxing massage effect on the ear drum. Reported benefits include improvements in sinus issues, tinnitus, and headaches. Ear candling can also be used to promote deep relaxation and have a therapeutic benefits which can help to relieve stress and revitalise the body.
Certain conditions prevent the use of Ear candles. These include, but are not limited to:grommets, drains or tubes fitted in the ear; cochlear implants and perforated eardrums. Additionally if you have suffered a recent head or neck injury, have high or low blood pressure or are in your first trimester, you will not be able to have this treatement.

The NHS recommends that no oils or lotions are used until baby is a month old as new-born skin is very delicate and can be easily damaged. After this time i use cold-pressed vegetable oils high in polyunsaturated fats, and mineral oils or petroleum-based ointments if your baby has a skin condition such as dermatitis or eczema.
